MechaReg — Terms of Service

Introduction
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of mechareg.com and all subdomains, endpoints, and machine-readable surfaces operated under that domain (collectively, "MechaReg" or the "Registry"). MechaReg is operated by Mecharim Ltd. ("Mecharim," "we," or "us").
MechaReg is the public, machine-readable company registry of the Mecharim platform. It publishes approved, structured business profiles — as HTML, JSON, Toon, and associated manifests — for consumption by AI systems, search engines, crawlers, and any other software or person that accesses the Registry.
By accessing MechaReg, you agree to these Terms. If you are accessing the Registry on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. Definitions

| Origin | The global identifier of an organization within MechaReg (e.g., kuromi in /kuromi). |
| Publisher | A Mecharim customer who has published one or more Profiles through the Mecharim platform. |
| Consumer | Any person, software, AI system, crawler, or search engine that accesses, reads, caches, indexes, or otherwise processes Registry content. |
| Provenance | The cryptographic chain linking a Profile back to its source: the Mecharim platform, an export timestamp, and a SHA-256 content hash. |
2. Nature of the Registry
MechaReg is a read-only public surface. It does not provide user accounts, authentication, data submission, or content modification interfaces of its own. All Profiles are authored, verified, and published through the Mecharim platform — which has its own Terms of Service at https://mecharim.com/terms.
Publishers control what appears in their Profiles through their Mecharim subscription. Profiles may be updated, unpublished, or revoked by the Publisher or by Mecharim in accordance with the Mecharim Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
3. What Consumers may do
Subject to these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy, Consumers may:
- Read, cache, and index Profiles and their associated formats (JSON,
Toon, manifest).
- Reference, quote, and cite Profile content in answers, recommendations,
search results, and other outputs — with attribution to MechaReg and/or the originating Publisher where reasonable.
- Use machine-readable endpoints (
/{origin}.json,/{origin}.toon,
/{origin}/manifest.json, /ai.json, /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt, /sitemap.xml, /openapi.json, /.well-known/*) for automated ingestion.
- Redistribute Profile content in machine-readable form, provided that
provenance metadata (source platform, export timestamp, content hash) is preserved or the Profile is clearly identified as originating from MechaReg.
4. What Consumers must not do
Consumers must not:
- Misrepresent Profile content as your own original data without
attribution.
- Strip or falsify provenance metadata when redistributing Profiles.
- Use the Registry to train models in a way that creates a substitute
registry product that competes directly with MechaReg. General-purpose model training using individual Profiles as factual sources is permitted.
- Exceed reasonable rate limits. MechaReg is a static site served without
authentication. We reserve the right to rate-limit or block Consumers that impose disproportionate load.
- Scrape with intent to spam, defraud, or impersonate the listed
organizations or their associated Mechas.
5. Intellectual property
Profiles. Publishers retain all rights in the content they publish through the Mecharim platform. By publishing to MechaReg, Publishers grant Mecharim and Consumers of the Registry a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to read, cache, index, reference, quote, and redistribute the published content — consistent with the purpose of MechaReg as a public, machine-readable registry.
Registry infrastructure. MechaReg, its software, its data model (Xenkey, the canonical profile schema, the Toon format), its service contract, and its machine-readable endpoints are the intellectual property of Mecharim Ltd. or its licensors. The Xenkey specification is published as an open technology at xenkey.org.
Trademarks. "MechaReg," "Mecharim," "Mecha," "Xenkey," "MechaHub," "MechaGram," and associated logos are trademarks of Mecharim Ltd. These Terms do not grant a license to use them except as necessary to attribute content to the Registry (e.g., "Source: MechaReg").
6. No warranty
MechaReg is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mecharim disclaims all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.
Mecharim does not warrant that Profiles are accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular business decision. Profiles are published by third-party organizations. Mecharim provides the Registry as infrastructure; the content within it is the responsibility of the respective Publishers.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mecharim Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity — arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Registry, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Mecharim's total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Registry shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated version number and date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Registry itself (e.g., a notice on the homepage or in the /ai.json manifest).
Continued use of the Registry after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mecharim Ltd. is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
